To start with when it arrived the zipper was broken Fortunatly my daughter in law was able to fix thatbut who knows how long the fix will last But that did give m the opportunity to see inside the cover It was layers of foam rubber and some kind of shredded material As far as comfort goes forget it It is hard but after sitting on it it gobbles you up making it almost impossible to get out of Who knows what it will look like after using it awhile I have had it a month One good thing The color is what I ordered I would have sent it back but how do you mail a mattress after it is opened and it probaboy would have cost as much as the price of the mattressI like the mattress for the comfort it gives me. I dislike the fact that after one week my cat pissed on it !!!!!!Anatomical comfort
