Fit to be expected, the length a little long, I'm 5'1. The pants felt comfortable and kept me warm when I went skiing. I didn't feel stuffed when I wore a base layer and jeans underneath these pants. The color is to be expected like in the picture as well.My wife is 5ft 6in, and she normally wears a size 10 jean. According to the size chart, a size medium should fit sizes 8-10. I opted to get her a large just in case, and I'm glad I did because the medium would have been WAY too small. The large actually fit her well, not baggy but not overly tight either. I was actually surprised by how flattering the feminine cut was on these snow pants. The "Black Crossdye" is very nice, almost has a textured look to it. It also appears that the cuffs should do a good job of keeping snow from creeping up around her boots. The only downside I see to these pants is that the size chart can be misleading, and I'm sure depending on a women's figure the fit could be thrown off one way or another. I would just advise that if you are at the top end of a size, you should probably go up one (it does have belt loops if the waist ends up a little too loose), especially if you are planning on wearing layers underneath the pant. Also, while the outer material has a nice look and feel to it, it does not appear to be very abrasion or tear resistant to me. Therefore, I don't know that these would be the best pants if you are into more aggressive winter sports, etc. overall I am pleased with the product at the $66 sale price I paid, but I'm not sure they would be worth the 90-something regular price in the long run.I got the purple/pink and it looks fine; only slightly darker in person. Would have preferred a dark color but needed these last minute. I'm 5'4" and I typically wear a 4/6 on bottom and I am very curvy in the thighs/hips/butt with small waist. Ordered a small and medium short to try. The small didn't make it over my thighs. Medium is snug (nothing is going in the thigh pockets) but I can still fit a base layer underneath and move perfectly fine. Waist is pretty big compared to how tight the thighs and hips are and I have to snug up the Velcro adjustment inside almost all the way. I would say if you are curvy, size up to a medium even if you typically are a 4/6 because these seem to be a straighter cut. I worried ordering a short because at 5'4" I'm usually too tall for petite and too short for regular but this was a perfect length. There was about a 1/4" of space before the floor. A regular would have been too long. Will be fine for the one or two times I go resort skiing each year.I love the color (I ordered purple dahlia) and the fit is good. The main reason I am giving them 4 starts instead 5 is because They are a little long due to the fact that I received large/regular instead of the large/short which I ordered, I'm 5'3" 145 lb so short/petite length in pants work best for me. I've rushed to order a second pair of large/short so we will see what comes in this time. The pants also sit a little lower on the waist than I like but that seems to be the newer style and being in my 50's I'm still prefer pants that sit higher on the waist and have classic length zipper instead of shorter as these do.I also ordered a size large ski jacket (Columbia Women's Lhotse Interchange Jacket, Purple Dahlia/Bright Plum) hoping the two would match. The pants are a different material than the jacket which is understandable but it does cause the color to not match as closely as I'd like, I'll still wear them together anyways.I got these pants for snowsports. So far, they're pretty great. I'm 5'11" & 140 pounds and they fit! I got a size medium, and I would say these pants run a bit small, compared to other brands of snow pants I've tried on (REI, Burton, etc.). They are very warm and totally waterproof, and feel super high quality. Also, the inseam is great for tall women bc it's a 32.5 for regular sizes. They're well-insulated. If you have bigger than average thighs tho, the cut is not v generous in that area. I got the magenta colored ones, and while they're definitely darker and more purpleish than in the pic, it's a beautiful color. Overall, I like these a lot and they have kept me super warm. After reading several reviews I ordered a size bigger. They fit decently and I loved the feel of them. The only thing i did not like was the back pockets. Since I was using these for snowboarding/sledding back pockets do not make sense as I tend to fall on my butt. I returned the item and got a very similar pair (same color and size) in a different Columbia branded snow pants with pockets in the front instead. .These pants are very insulated and are definitely suited for the hiking purpose that I bought them (climbing Kili!). So for now all I can comment on is the size. I am 5ft 4in and 150lbs, much heavier on the bottom, and the pants fit me with some jumping and down and buttoned, but 2 more pounds and they wouldn't fit! Hips are about 40in at its widest part.I ordered these pants because I needed waterproof pants for snowboarding, yet of all the stores I tried in person none had any snow pants in stock.I was worried about buying pants over the internet not knowing how they would fit, yet these fit perfectly. I normally were a size 10 in women's pants our 33/33 in men's and the medium regular in these are a perfect fit.I had these shipped with no rush since I didn't need then right away and they arrived a whole week sooner than expected.Overall I couldn't be more satisfied with this item. For sizing reference, I'm 5"4,130 Ibs and ordered a size M.Size M was just the right size as a S would have been too tight with little room for movement. This size allows some flexibility in my movements.Fantastic coral colour which helps you stand out on the slopes. Nice warm trousers, quite thick yet breathable. Recommend buying these!I usually take size 12 " unfortunately the M was way too big, had to return. Otherwise Quality is v good and ski pants look good!Excellent fit and waterproof quality. This is my second Columbia ski outfit and I really love it.This is the 2nd pair of Columbia Bugaboo pants that I've bought because I like the way they fit, they are comfortable, roomy enough to wear leggings underneath for extra warmth and keep the rain, snow and wind out. In my opinion, a great buy! I love themFit as expected, quality is superior.
